Very Dry Weather at Bevendean in 2026
The Bevendean Downs and the Brighton area experienced an exceptionally dry July and an officially drought was declared.
The last recorded trace of rain was recorded around 26 July 2026 when a minor light shower was logged.
There has been no measurable rainfall recorded in the Bevendean Area during August until the 19 August 2026.

Here are some photographs taken by a Bevendean resident during a walk over the Downs at Bevendean on 14 August 2026. The grass which should be green is now the colour of straw and very dry.
