Information from Pamela Mass
I have just read the story from Andre Bevan. I lived next door
(17 Heath Hill Ave) to Paul and Andre way back in the 1950's. It was
amazing to read his history and bring back all the memories I had as a
child, some good some not so good.
We were rather poor back then and if memory serves me right my neighbours were rather posh.
I joined the Brighton Past a while ago and have really enjoyed all the tales from the past, it sooo brings back all the memories. My name then was Pamela Springgay.
I don't think Andre will remember me as he was a little older but his brother Paul was the same age as myself and we used to talk to each other over the back fence.
Here is a picture of me with my family, mum, brother and future sister-in-law at either Preston Park or possibly Stanmer Park, as it was 60 years ago I cannot be sure of the details, nowadays I cannot remember what I had for dinner yesterday.
